The growing trend today amongst women in cities is that they are all professionally qualified and place equal or more emphasis on their careers and economic independence. They would like to and have already managed to break all male bastions and have reached the top.

womenThe corporate and professional lives of women are as fast paced as that of any man. They are having to run the race and concentrate on their performance all the time. They have got to travel quite often and be online on 24 x 7 basis. Having to manage a professional career and reach the top takes a lot of hard work and women tend to postpone their plans for marriage and family as much as possible to be able to stabilize their careers. When the biological clock starts ticking is the time that they finally settle down into matrimony and then they are in a hurry to have babies.

Pregnancy for such women can be quite difficult. Their external conditions of working constantly under pressure create a lot of problem. Most often these women do not get time to eat healthy food and manage to feed on what ever they can get their hands on including most of the time sandwiches and other junk food. They have no time to relax or go for long walks which is very much essential.

Often women who are pregnant develop gestational diabetes. Many more women tend to also develop hemorrhoids. Hemorrhoids develop in women mainly due to the pressure on the uterus as well as the lower abdomen due to the growing fetus. This can cause the vascular structures present in the anal canal also called as hemorrhoids to enlarge and bleed. Lot of hormonal changes keeps happening within the body of the pregnant woman. Even these hormonal changes too contribute to the hemorrhoids in a large way. Added to this the lifestyle habits of working woman results in piles problem getting out of control.

As one advances in pregnancy, the weight and size of the abdomen becomes difficult for the woman to manage. Added to this, if the piles or hemorrhoids start swelling the problems get increased. While internal hemorrhoids cause rectal bleeding, it may not be very painful. But if the hemorrhoids are situated in the external wall of anus, then the itching, burning, swelling and the pain makes it unbearable for the pregnant woman especially to pass stools. She is likely to find it extremely difficult to sit down properly. The situation gets pathetic when the abdomen pressure pushes one to pass the stools and causes extreme pain while passing the stool.

Therefore those women who are pregnant should take extra precautions to avoid piles problem. Eating plenty of greens, vegetables, fruits and adding more fiber to the daily diet can help to a large extent. Coupled with the food drinking plenty of water also helps avoid this problem. It is better to check with the doctor well in advance to take preventive action so as to avoid complications and enjoy healthy pregnancy.
